Call for Ideas:National Art Gallery
The competition is on to source for the best architectural design concept for Singapore’s new National Art Gallery and the government has invited architects from Singapore and around the world to come forward with bold and creative ideas.
The art gallery will be housed at City Hall and the former Supreme Court building – two iconic heritage buildings set in the heart of Singapore’s Civic District.
To be completed by 2012, it is envisioned to be dedicated to the presentation, collection and study of Southeast Asian and Singaporean visual arts.

Adib and JJ,
Congratulations on finally getting your voice heard, albeit online. It’s a decent cause and I’m sure other like-minded individuals will hear of this site. You know what they say… genius loves company.
I hope in time, this modest start will spawn into a new realm where local achitechtural intellects can share their vision of greatness for the betterment of Asian architechture.
Perhaps it might even go in print one day, with the right drive and resources. For now, this is a good start.
Anyways, if you need any advice or help with the media and publishing industry, I’m just an email away.
All the best in this new endeavour.

p.s.: If I may just add something… I know the server space may be limited but it would be great if you could include some visuals of notable Asian architecture within the site… if it is at all possible. Just a thought.
