In 2004, URA organized the ’20 Under 45’ exhibition/publication, featuring the works of 20 Singapore-registered architects under the age of 45, to promote a greater awareness and appreciation of design excellence.
URA intends to organise a follow-up exhibition/publication later this year to recognise the next generation of our talented young architects. ’20 Under 45 – The Next Generation’ will feature seminal works by architects aged 45 years and under, who are registered with the Board of Architects (BOA) in Singapore. These could range from small-scale projects (e.g. single landed house or interior architecture) to the larger-scale projects (e.g. condominium development or community building) built in Singapore. Though preference will be for built works, unbuilt works can be considered.
The closing date for submission is 13 April 2009.
UPDATE (8th April 2009)
In view of your overwhelming response and valuable feedback, URA have relaxed their eligibility criteria to also include submission of overseas projects. In addition to your local portfolio, you may now submit overseas projects in which you are the lead designer. The submission should include relevant materials and preferably a current walk-through video clip, to enable the jury to better assess the merits of the project.
We have thus also extended the submission deadline to 17 April 2009. The registration details can be found at: http://www.ura.gov.sg/under45.
