Should architects try harder to please the public?

So the age long debate continues. BDOnline pits Malcolm Millais, author of Exploding the Myths of Modern Architecture, against architect Piers Gough from practice CZWG and gets a lot of reaction from readers. But Gough himself puts it the best with his ending one-liner: architecture is a public art, but it’s far too important to be left to the public.
