About
FIVEFOOTWAY is an online magazine about asian architecture developed to feed the architectural mind and lifestyle of the global architect and other stakeholders of the asian built environment. Founded by Adib Jalal and Jia-Jun Yeo in June 2007, the website currently reaches the screens of many architects, design students and industry watchers - all of whom come to the website for news and articles about Asian architecture.
FIVEFOOTWAY have also initiated other projects such as the Magical Spaces Project and “Confessions of an Architect” in our efforts to further explore architecture. Other than self-initiated projects, we also collaborate with other partners resulting in projects such as Thinking about Cities- a MIT-NUS-FIVEFOOTWAY Workshop and Canteen Brick Down- an experimental video piece that was produced for the NUS Arts festival. We are also ardent supporters of the architecture industry, being the online media partner for Archifest-Singapore’s Architectural Festival since 2008 and also as regular contributors to SA magazine, a magazine published by the Singapore Institute of Architects. We have also been involved in editing a book about interior spaces which will be out in late 2009.
FIVEFOOTWAY have also presented their works at Archifest 08 and was selected to represent Singapore at the Singapore pavilion,Venice Architecture Biennale 2008.
